BRIGHT Music Group

Introduction

A place where young musicians come together and turn their passion into service.

Through Musical Bridge for Seniors, our students perform twice each month at Ivy Park and Parkview in Pleasanton, bringing live music, connection, and joy directly to senior communities. At the same time, young musicians gain a welcoming stage to share what they’ve worked so hard to practice.

Play music. Share joy. Make an impact.

Over 10 years of piano and violin have taught me the value of having a stage to perform. I enjoy performing at YO and helping younger musicians bring their musical dreams to life. Using our talents to serve the community makes music even more meaningful.

I’ve always loved music, especially live performances. Lucy and I started Musical Bridge for Seniors to share that joy with local seniors. Seeing their smiles makes every performance meaningful.

Jillian Chen — Guzheng

Jillian Chen — Guzheng

I’ve loved playing the guzheng and sharing the beauty of Chinese music with others. Performing for seniors gives me a chance to use my music to bring joy, connection, and warmth to the community.

I love playing the piano, especially the music of Bach. Through performing, I hope to share the beauty of classical music and bring joy to our community.

Luna Lu — Ballet

Wearing pointe shoes and a tutu has always been my dream for the future. At the senior center, I make my own dances and practice by myself.

Once a lady at senior center see my performance and told me my dance was special and encouraged me to never give up. Performing has made me happier and more confident. I want to keep dancing and share my joy with more people.

Jason Jin — Flute

Archer Zhao — Trumpet & Violin

Playing violin is a special opportunity to me. It brings me a sense of unity when others can enjoy the music that I enjoy as well.

Aaron Tung — Violin and Piano

Music is special to me because it can make people feel happy, calm, or excited. I'm very happy to be here and share my music with all of you.

Aimee Han — Flute

Performing at the senior center feels warm and meaningful. The music creates a connection between everyone in the room. Seeing the audience smile makes me feel accomplished and joyful.

Lucie Lu — Piano

I love music and playing the piano, but competitions and exams sometimes made me question why I was learning it.

This year, I started volunteering with Bright and performing at Senior Center with my sisters, Luna and Lia. We play music, dance, and sing, and seeing the smiles we bring to the elderly made me realize the true meaning of music.

Music can heal and bring joy. I want to be a bridge that shares that joy with more people.
